Rainbow Ridge LGBTA Democratic Caucus of Polk County is a chapter of the Florida LGBTA Democratic Caucus. It is our goal to represent issues of LGBT equality to the state and local Democratic Party, work to elect LGBT friendly democratic candidates to office and foster fellowship and camaraderie amongst fellow democrats.
The mission of the rainbow ridge LGBTA Democratic Caucus of Polk County is to:
- Stimulate active interest in political and governmental affairs.
- Strengthen and further the ideals and principles of the Democratic party.
- Provide ongoing support to the Polk County Democratic Executive Committee.
- Promote participation among Democrats.
- Support and elect LGBTQ+ friendly nominees of the Democratic party in national, state and local campaigns.
- Foster good fellowship among Democrats.

Not only are we active in political, civil and human right issue, but we have fun and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals at our many social events. Don’t think you’re alone in your struggle for understanding and compassion. We stand up for and support all individuals.

We started the Rainbow Ridge and got chartered from the State of Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus in 2011.
